1. How can I tell if my lenses are polarized?
There are several tests you can do to find out whether or not your lenses are polarized. The easiest is to hold one lens in front of the other and while looking through both of them, rotate one. At a certain angle they will black out, blocking all light transmission. Although our lenses do not have the words “polarized” etched into them, they are 100% polarized. Polarization is a fantastic feature because it blocks reflected light which reduces glare and enhances contrast. It improves your experience when involved in sports such as fishing, golf, volleyball, etc.
2. How do I care for my Customatic Optic lenses?
Cleaning: Blow any particles off the lenses. If the particles will not blow off, or if you have salt on them from a fun day at the beach, or on the boat, run water over the lenses to remove the particles and salt. To remove smudges, fingerprints, etc… gently wash the lenses in mild soapy water, or use a commercial lens cleaning spray. Dry the lenses with a soft cotton or microfiber cloth.
Salt water can be corrosive to the mirror coating on your lenses so you should run them under clean fresh water to remove any salt in order to keep your lenses in optimal condition.
3. Can the wearer’s eyes be seen when wearing your mirrored lenses?
No, all of Customatic Optic’s mirror coated lenses will hide your eyes from the outside world.
4. Do your lenses provide UV protection?
Customatic Optic lenses are very high quality, 100% polarized, meet or exceed federal impact resistance standards, and most importantly offer 100% UV protection.
5. What color is the tint of the lens when looking through it?
Most of Customatic Optic lenses have a grey base lens with a colored Mirror coating on the outside. Depending on the coating, the color while looking through the lenses will be slightly different. When looking through a lens with red, purple or blue the lens will have a slight brown tint. Lenses that feature a green or yellow coating will have a slightly rose tint. Lenses without the coating will be the same tint as the color of the lens.
6. Do I have to pay sales tax?
You only have to pay sales tax if you are located in the same state as the Customatic Optic warehouse, which is in Florida, USA.
7. How do I install my Customatic Optic lenses?
Please do not try to force the lenses. It should be a relatively easy installation. We have superb and strive for excellent customer service, so if you have any questions or would like additional assistance, please contact us and we will be happy to help you!
8. What is the association between Oakley and Customatic Optics?
We are not affiliated with Oakley in any way and do not sell Oakley brand lenses. Our lenses are exclusive Customatic Optics polarized lenses that will fit in specified Oakley frames.
9. If I send an email or leave a phone message, how soon can I expect to hear from you?
At Customatic Optic we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and strive to handle each question as quickly as possible. Most often, we will respond to messages within one business day. That said, some days have higher volumes of questions than others, so please be patient if you don’t hear back right away. We will make sure that your question gets answered!
10. There is a flaw in my lens or it will not fit. What do I do?
We apologize if there are any flaws with your lenses. Customatic Optic tests for very strict quality standards before our lenses leave our warehouse, but occasionally a flawed pair slips through or becomes damaged in shipping. Sometimes it happens that the lenses you ordered are not for your particular frame. Please double check that your frame first, since this is the most common problem, to make sure that it is the same as the lenses that you ordered. Please contact us if there is anything we can help you with. We have an excellent Return/Refund policy.
11. What is your shipping policy?
All orders will ship within 3-5 business days from the date of payment. All packages will be sent via USPS. All orders are sent via standard mail, unless noted otherwise.
You can trust that your order will be quickly processed and safely delivered.
Most packages arrive in a timely manner (2-6 business days for US domestic). Unfortunately, an occasional package may get delayed or misplaced in transit. You will be provided with a tracking number when your item ships.
12. How do I ship to APO/FPO/DPO addresses?
Shipping to military service members and diplomatic personnel is easy. In the Shipping Information section, enter the service member’s full name. Include the unit in the Address field. Enter APO, DPO, or FPO in the City field. Select the appropriate Armed Forces region from the State/Province drop down menu. Enter the 9 digit zip code. Select the United States as the Country.
13. How can I track my order?
Your package has been shipped using a USPS tracking number – you should have received the tracking number with the shipping notification. You can log in to www.usps.com and click the link titled “Track & Confirm”. Then copy and paste your tracking number into the pop-up box and click “FIND”. This will show you the path of your delivery and the exact location at that time.
